Brittany David elected to represent Suppliers at PPAI Board Level

Just this month, the Promotional Product Association International (PPAI) Board of Directors announced the votes have been tallied and results were in, the two newest Board Members are—Perry Wehrle, President of PAW Marketing, and our very own SnugZ USA VP of Sales, Brittany David.

 

 

Brittany David will serve as the newest supplier representative on the board whereas Mr. Perry Wehrle will represent the distributors. The positions include a four-year term and the official inauguration will take place at the PPAI Expo in January 2016. PPAI reports voting participation increased significantly this election with the highest voter turnout to date. A large part was contributed to the extraordinary campaign efforts by all parties running in the election.

PPAI Board Chair, Rick Brenner, MAS+, is very ecstatic; in the PPAI press release, he welcomed and expressed noble accolades to the two newest board members. He was quoted saying, “The industry is fortunate to have such experienced, capable and passionate leaders and I look forward to their leadership over the next four years.[1] ”

Mr. Wehrle brings with him a robust and experienced resume to the board level with over 35 years in the Promotional Product industry accompanied with an impeccable work ethic. Simultaneously, Brittany adds her accomplished public speaking skills, visionary talents to foresee industry trends, a millennial perspective, and an unmeasurable amount of energy and team building capabilities.

This was exciting news to receive at SnugZ Headquarters. Brittany received a call the morning after the election closed and news spread quickly through the SnugZ grapevine. Naturally, an ad hoc celebration party commenced soon thereafter and the day was filled with much excitement and a big celebration for Brittany and this accomplishment.

PPAI is the original industry trade association dating back its formation in 1904. Since the early 1900’s, PPAI has been the hub to go to for Industry breaking news, hosts the biggest tradeshow know to our  industry each year in lovely Las Vegas, provides valuable and developmental seminars, workshops, and conferences of all sorts, and assembles a knowledgeable, talented, and leading experienced Board year after year.  Furthermore, you have some seen name titles such as TAS, CAS, MAS+ at the end of promo folks titles, these are forms of certification granted by PPAI. Throughout their physical publications and social media accounts, they produce some of the hottest content out there in the promo world. Be sure to follow them on Twitter and Facebook.

Lastly, here’s a message from the victor, Brittany, “I value and appreciate the extensive support I received from SnugZ, the team of people who supported me and all participants and voters in the election. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve PPAI at the Board level. It is vital to stay forward thinking with the accelerated change technology is making. I am eager to learn from some of the most talented minds in our industry and brings my skills and talents to the board.”

SNUGZ USA Press Release September 11, 2015

SNUGZ USA recognized by Utah Manufacturers Association for notable Community Service Culture

Salt Lake City, Utah – September 11, 2015 – SnugZ USA was awarded the top recognition for its leadership in Corporate Citizenship/Social Responsibility from the Utah Manufacturers Association (UMA) at its 2015 Summit this week.

Giving back is more than a notion to SnugZ USA, it is instilled in its culture, vision, and mission. SnugZ USA has assembled its own committee called, SnugZ GiveZ, made up of employees whose objective is to organize community service projects year round. What started as a Christmas food drive one year has blossomed into a continuous culture of giving at SnugZ.

During the UMA summit, talented speakers were invited from local companies providing valuable insight, tips & tricks in technology advancement, best practices, company culture, and environmental industry initiatives. In addition, a panel of CEO’s from prominent companies such as Boeing and Black Diamond addressed the audience regarding pressing issues such as hiring shortages, lean processes, and decisions to bring manufacturing in-house. 2015 has already started off with a bang, launching our brand new Zen line! Not only are things off to an exciting start but we have some great new people to join us on the journey!

We wanted to introduce our new Sales Representatives that will be serving you and give you a little insight to who they are and what they are about!

What is your favorite place you’ve ever traveled?:

Snugz Factory. West Jordan, UT….and Florence Italy

Not only are we absolutely thrilled to have Steve on board but we cant wait to also introduce: Kathy DiFrancesco, your region Sales Representative and all things Zen guru!

Where are you from?:

Family is from Thailand. I am first generation to be born and raised in NYC.
Favorite type of food?:

I never play favorites with food because I love to eat everything! But a major comfort food is a steaming hot bowl of noodle soup in all its variations. I could eat that every day. AND for sweets my go-to is dark chocolate with nuts.
What is your favorite place you’ve ever traveled?:

I have a long wish list of places I still want to visit but looking back, the place that made the biggest impact on me was Chios (Xios) island in Greece, a close neighbor to Turkey. Powerful tragic history that you can see immediately in the architecture, with everyone still living inside the castles on the island. It’s not a place where people typically visit when they go to Greece. It was so cool to speak Greek with the kids and seeing their eyes light up in awe. My face didn’t match what was coming out of my mouth!

Fun Facts:
– I am a professional nose, a skill and a profession I had no idea existed until I started working in the fragrance business 15 years ago in NYC. The creator of Love’s Baby Soft and also my trainer, pointed out the skill and helped me learn how to use my abilities creatively.
– I love to climb and hike. I have a bucket list to climb as many Fourteeners as I can!
