Just this month, the Promotional Product Association International (PPAI) Board of Directors announced the votes have been tallied and results were in, the two newest Board Members are—Perry Wehrle, President of PAW Marketing, and our very own SnugZ USA VP of Sales, Brittany David.
Brittany David will serve as the newest supplier representative on the board whereas Mr. Perry Wehrle will represent the distributors. The positions include a four-year term and the official inauguration will take place at the PPAI Expo in January 2016. PPAI reports voting participation increased significantly this election with the highest voter turnout to date. A large part was contributed to the extraordinary campaign efforts by all parties running in the election.
PPAI Board Chair, Rick Brenner, MAS+, is very ecstatic; in the PPAI press release, he welcomed and expressed noble accolades to the two newest board members. He was quoted saying, “The industry is fortunate to have such experienced, capable and passionate leaders and I look forward to their leadership over the next four years.[1] ”
Mr. Wehrle brings with him a robust and experienced resume to the board level with over 35 years in the Promotional Product industry accompanied with an impeccable work ethic. Simultaneously, Brittany adds her accomplished public speaking skills, visionary talents to foresee industry trends, a millennial perspective, and an unmeasurable amount of energy and team building capabilities.
This was exciting news to receive at SnugZ Headquarters. Brittany received a call the morning after the election closed and news spread quickly through the SnugZ grapevine. Naturally, an ad hoc celebration party commenced soon thereafter and the day was filled with much excitement and a big celebration for Brittany and this accomplishment.
PPAI is the original industry trade association dating back its formation in 1904. Since the early 1900’s, PPAI has been the hub to go to for Industry breaking news, hosts the biggest tradeshow know to our industry each year in lovely Las Vegas, provides valuable and developmental seminars, workshops, and conferences of all sorts, and assembles a knowledgeable, talented, and leading experienced Board year after year. Furthermore, you have some seen name titles such as TAS, CAS, MAS+ at the end of promo folks titles, these are forms of certification granted by PPAI. Lastly, here’s a message from the victor, Brittany, “I value and appreciate the extensive support I received from SnugZ, the team of people who supported me and all participants and voters in the election. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve PPAI at the Board level. It is vital to stay forward thinking with the accelerated change technology is making. I am eager to learn from some of the most talented minds in our industry and brings my skills and talents to the board.”
